Wellness routines—what a buzzword, right? But here's the thing: a wellness routine doesn’t have to be strict or boring. It’s about finding what makes you feel good, balanced, and ready to tackle whatever life throws your way. And the best part? There’s no one-size-fits-all. It’s all about what works for you. So let’s dive into how you can create a wellness routine that feels just right!
How you start your day sets the tone for everything that follows. Some people swear by a morning meditation or yoga session, while others might find joy in sipping their coffee (In my case Choffy) slowly, watching the sunrise, or reading an inspiring quote.
Example: Try starting with a few minutes of deep breathing or light stretching. If you’re into essential oils, ( LOL... of course you are) diffusing something uplifting like Wild Orange or Peppermint can give you that energizing boost to get going. But remember, if mornings are a rush for you, it’s okay to keep this part short and sweet!
Eating well doesn’t mean you have to follow a strict diet. It’s about fueling your body with what makes you feel your best. Whether that’s a green smoothie, a hearty breakfast, or a quick grab-and-go snack, make it something you enjoy and that powers you through your day.
Example: If you love smoothies, throw in some spinach, banana, a scoop of protein powder, and a drop of doTERRA’s Lemon essential oil for a zesty twist. Not a smoothie fan? No worries—maybe a slice of avocado toast or a bowl of oatmeal is more your speed.
Exercise doesn’t have to mean hitting the gym for hours. It’s all about finding what movement brings you joy. It could be dancing around your living room, (Check out Body Groove, it's so fun!) taking a brisk walk in the park, or even a quick yoga session during lunch.
Example: Set aside 20 minutes for a dance party in your living room—no judgment, just fun! Or, if you prefer something calming, a short yoga session with deep stretches could be your go-to. The key is to move in a way that makes you smile.
Life is busy, and it’s easy to forget to slow down and take a moment for yourself. Incorporating mindfulness, whether through meditation, journaling, or simply sitting quietly with your thoughts, can help keep stress at bay.
Example: End your day with a calming practice like journaling about the best parts of your day. You could also unwind with a relaxing bath, adding a few drops of Balance or Serenity essential oil to help you relax.
