The Problem

D/deaf students in Ghana, West Africa who experience situations of low income face barriers to a meaningful education. Even where students have access to government-funded schooling, barriers such as transportation, supplies, food, housing costs, and costs of auxiliary aids such as interpreters still prevent them from achieving their academic goals.

The mission of Signs of Hope International (SOHI) is to provide the resources and financial means necessary to ensure every D/deaf and hard-of-hearing student in Ghana, West Africa can receive a meaningful education and achieve their personal academic goals.

Our Vision

We envision a world in which every D/deaf student in Ghana, West Africa receives equal access to quality education and has access to the resources necessary to foster a meaningful learning experience.

How Your Funds Are Used

Signs of Hope International (SOHI) is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We are 100% volunteer-run. Our Board of Directors are all volunteers.

Where Your Donation Goes:

Your donation goes directly to support Signs of Hope International. Scholarship funding pays for the necessary supplies, transportation, and educational fees of students who otherwise would not be able to complete their primary, secondary, or university educations. Donors may also choose to sponsor a portion of Board Members’ expenses to facilitate connections between SOHI and educators in Ghana, West Africa.

  • Raise $100,000 - $150,000

  • Support 100-150 students
